Hi, how is your summer so far? The weather here has been unusually hot and sunny and not typical at all of the UK. We inhabitants are making the most of it while it lasts before once again the rain clouds obliterate the sky.
Aside from playing a few very enjoyable European festivals this summer HSS have been off the road resting and songwriting. It’s the first time in eleven years that Joe and I have taken time out from constant touring and had time to reflect on where we’re going. Despite the break I’m pleased to say that our new record keeps on selling.
The HSS guitar give away competition has ended and the winner is:

Jörg has asked to be given the guitar at one of our shows on the upcoming October European tour. We’ll take a photo of the event and post it on line and in the newsletter.
Our next European tour starting on October 9th and runs through to the end of November. You can find an up to date gig list on www.hundredseventysplit.com.
We will be recording some shows on this tour for a live CD ready for release in 2015. If you’d like to be on the record please come to the shows. The CD will be released in time for the next European tour starting in March 2015.
Many of you have asked when we will play The States. The answer is that we have had some offers and are working on the logistics of getting over sometime in 2015.
